Ugh. I know the feeling. I used to teach Spanish at a privileged high school. The day after Trump was named president, they unleashed hell on me. I’m not Hispanic, but my passion for languages and culture studies took me to teaching. Unfortunately, I could not reach those kids, and I went back to ESL the next year. At least they appreciate me. I still have PTSD from the high school experiences. I’m sorry you went through that, and teachers really should be treated better.
