That’s an awesome statement, that we should ALL follow. In my opinion, if while studying a religion, you reach a point where it all just ceases to make sense to you, then you should be applauded for your efforts and allowed to continue to your liking. I’m sure you came away with some good life lessons aside from the religious fluff (and exclusionary practices), so I’d argue you’d be great in preaching, or whatever your goal was. You’d provide a viewpoint that is different from the church, yet the same in parts.

But hey- their loss. I’m just a college instructor who encourages healthy debate and opposing views. And their strict opposition to it is why the church is hemorrhaging followers.
